A woman is out jogging when she trips and falls and is inches close to a meteorite. She blacks out and as it turns out, a parasitic organism buries itself in her brain. She eventually goes back home, and she becomes more and more sick, turning into a strange organism. She is brought to the hospital where she's then brought into a chemically induced coma. Certain people in certain places learn of this and evacuate the hospital with the exception of the people that were in contact with her, and they are quarantined. Now, the group of people stuck in said hospital must fight for their lives when the organism wakes up... and is looking for fresh blood.
