Fan Casting The Gill Man in Creature from the Black Lagoon

A monster in a mysterious explored section in the oceans near Central America that is home to the Gill Man. Who finds himself in love with Susan. But soon becomes the target of unsavory people from the expedition who either want to exploit him to the mainland or kill him. But endures prejudice save for a select few who are sympathetic and wish to set him free. But sacrifices himself in a final battle and based on his observations of Aaron and Susan, he allows Susan to stay with Aaron and let them get out of harm's way as he only wishes in his dying breath that Susan be happy and maybe they both have learned to love each other again.
