First appeared in Action Comics #352 in 1967 and was created by Jim Shooter and Curt Swan. Sarya/Emerald Empress found the Emerald Eye of the lost Ekron civilization and used it to conquer Venegar. She later became the most wanted female in the history of the universe and a member of the Fatal Five.
