Upon its release in February 24th, 2025, the film surprised critics and fans, who praised its visual effects, costumes, writing, score, action sequences, direction, performances (namely Delevingne, Bridges, and Wood), themes and emotional weight, and was a massive success at the box-office, grossing $846.9 million worldwide. A sequel is currently in production.
