Dr Boddy/Black invites six guests to his mansion in hope of selling some of his priceless artifacts. The guests are Miss Scarlett - a young failed actress, Colonel Mustard - a discharged US Military officer, Dr. Orchid - a brilliant botanist and the host's adoptive daughter, Mr. Green - a fraudster of many names and occupations, Mrs. Peacock - a wealthy socialite widowed four times, and Professor Plum - a university professor with some less than safe teaching methods. Soon the power goes out and a scream rings through the air. Miss Scarlett is the first to find the host's corpse and she rushes to tell the others. The six then go on an escapade to uncover the host's killer... Or evade capture. They are joined by the ghost of the old maid - Mrs. White, her granddaughter who now serves in the position - Miss Blanche, the butler - Mr. Wadsworth, the mansion's cook - Magna Baker, and the crime investigator - Officer Grey.
