Former schoolmates, the studious Nathan Jackson, and the introspective somewhat older Harriet Henderson, are now both over eighteen. Nate tells Harriet the truth about his friendship with her brother Harris and their mutual friend Mikey is becoming more of a twosome. Harriet remembers the sweet little boy who is now an equally respectful young man that is Nathan, and she always found him special. But coming from classes of dysfunction, education wise, can Nathan really become Mr Henderson the history teacher whilst he grapples with the previously unknown reality that he is a Dad? Will Harriet and Nate have their own happy ending despite the additional baggage that Harriet has been single since her messy split from first boyfriend Oliver? Or will Nate be defeated by being the failure of the Jackson family?
