Alison Brie Schermerhorn (born December 29, 1982) is an American actress, writer, and producer. She received recognition for her starring roles as Trudy Campbell in the drama series Mad Men (2007–2015), Annie Edison in the comedy series Community (2009–2015), Diane Nguyen in the animated comedy series BoJack Horseman (2014–2020), and as Ruth Wilder in the comedy-drama series GLOW (2017–2019), for which she received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy. In addition to her television work, Brie has also starred in films such as Scream 4 (2011); The Five-Year Engagement (2012); The Lego Movie (2014); Get Hard (2015); Sleeping with Other People (2015); How to Be Single (2016); The Little Hours (2017); The Disaster Artist (2017); The Post (2017); Promising Young Woman (2020); Horse Girl (2020), which she also co-wrote and produced; and The Rental (2020). Chris's family includes his manager, Paul Johnson, his widowed father, Hal, his older brother, Nick(who's a bartender and dating a much younger woman in her mid 20s), his older sister, Chloe(who's married and pregnant with her and her husband's first child), his second older sister, Mari(who's married with two kids), his middle sister, Carolyn(who returns home for the holidays with her boyfriend), his second middle sister, Brie(who is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, Chase, finds out she's pregnant which shocks her abusive husband), his middle brother, Jimmy(who just gotten out of rehab after a drunk rage the previous Christmas), his third middle sister, Lauren(who had recently had a child with her Jewish husband), his fourth middle sister, Mia(who's dating a much older man in his upper-40s), and his younger brother, Damon(who just gotten out of military school). Hal reconnects with his childhood best friend, Steve Thomas, who also has a daughter named Doris.
