Following a data leak that exposed the long-kept secret studies of esteemed geneticist Moira MacTaggert, which predicted humanity to be supplanted by their 'superior relatives' mutants, chaos and panic ensue forcing the world to take a cautionary and offensive stance against mutant-kind. Mutants are now subjected to scrutiny, oppression and torture while they scramble for support and help.
A year later, the dynamic shifts when Professor Charles Xavier reveals himself as a mutant and his mission for mutant-human cohabitation with his own school and support group for mutants comprised of his students called X-Men. Things take a turn when he and his team are met with opposition from anti-mutant tech mogul Bolivar Trask and his robotic Sentinel Initiative that's designed to capture and control mutants.
