Children of Southtown - The King of Fighters Saga

Power Rangers meets The Warriors, Fight Club, Rocky, Bloodsport, and Suburbia

It is the early 1990s. Kyo Kusanagi, a formerly delinquent high school student, sets up shop at the City of Southtown (Long Beach, California) with the help of his friends (Benimaru, Daimon, Yuri, Mai, King, Terry, Andy, and Joe). They form a unified, eclectic martial arts gang called "The Children of Southtown" and open a club called "The Flaming Sun" at the heart of the coastal area. A rogue naval captain named Rugal Bernstein steals a US Navy aircraft carrier and threatens world domination through use of such a weapon. He then invites the strongest fighters around the US and elsewhere to participate in an underground fighting tournament called the "King of Fighters." When the "Children of Southtown" hear about this, they rush into action and train to the utmost of their abilities, setting their sights into stopping the aforementioned madman once and for all!
