In prehistoric America, Qimmiq, a Native American man, survives a massacre that wiped out his entire tribe when he was a boy. Having spent years growing up in the wild, he returns to defeat the Mak'aii, a race of demons which killed his father. Along the way, he encounters a wolf whose pack was killed by disease, and the two form a bond.
