Back in the early to mid 80s, The Townsend Agency is still going strong following Kelly Garrett's early retirement and Kris Munroe's subsequent departure and Julie Roger's transfer to another agency. Three new Angels fresh from graduating from recruitment training have risen from the ranks - Belinda Miller, Jody Sheridan and Madison Lee. In the beginning the three new angels, like those before and subsequently after them, were as close as sisters and considered each other family (especially Belinda and Madison who considered each other best friends) until the infamous DeSoto case when Madison began showing signs of an overly ambitious ego and not being a team player by going rogue and nearly getting killed, causing Jody and Belinda to go in and save her and take down Carmen DeSoto - causing a fallout between them and Madison that was beyond repair - Madison feeling utterly betrayed by Belinda and ultimately leading to her departure and subsequent turn to the dark side.
