Cypher Reagan is the secondary antagonist in the 1999 film The Matrix and a posthumous antagonist in The Matrix Online. He was a human released from the Matrix by Morpheus. But he hated the real world, and after nine years on the Nebuchadnezzar, he decided he had to get back into the Matrix even if it means betraying Morpheus and the Nebuchadnezzar's crew for Agent Smith and the Agents.
