Alison Hargate is Molly's classmate. Her family is rich (she has a maid) and Alison is an only child, meaning she gets a lot of items her classmates don't get. Although she doesn't try to show off, simply telling the truth can lead to others resenting her. She was played by Josette Halpert in the movie and is characterized as more snobby than in the stories.
