The protagonist of Redwall, the first novel in the series of the same name, as well as a major character in the novel's sequel, Mattimeo. Matthias is a young mouse living at Redwall Abbey. He goes on a quest to find the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior and save Redwall from being taken over by Cluny the Scourge.
