Nigel Charles Ratburn (formerly Emil Ratburn) is a teacher at Lakewood Elementary School. He teaches Arthur's third and fourth-grade classes. In "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone," Mr. Ratburn marries a chocolate shop owner named Patrick.
