The titular character of the 1955 novel "Lolita." Originally an energetic, happy yet tempramental child interested in comic books and movies, her kidnapping and repeated assaults by her stepfather Humbert Humbert ruins her childhood. After spending her years escaping into acting and tennis to avoid her trauma, she escapes her stepfather through yet another abusive adult, eventually leaving him and marrying an engineer. While not mentioned in the book, an in-universe foreward says that she dies in childbirth on Christmas Day.
