The team fight Eggman similar to how you play the Final Battle in the original game, but with more brawling and no Metal Sonic. Knuckles and the team thought they had finally acquired all of the Chaos Rings, but it seems during the battle, someone swapped them with hula-hoops!!! Robotnik wanted to know who had done this. Then we see Metal Sonic holding the Chaos Rings, giving a monologue on how he will no longer be a stool for a fat mustahced man to stand on. He will not be a tool to be used. He will no longer be a pawn in Eggman's sick game. Then once he clenched the Chaos Rings, he went into an old machine Eggman had for him before the argument. It was a metamorphis chamber.
