Fan Casting Valerie Bloodworth in Cemeterra High

Valerie grew up under a highly lavish and privileged upperclass lifestyle, not unlike most other vampires. Considered something of a 'white bat' (the monster equivalent of the term 'black sheep') among the rest of her family, she never entirely fit in with the rest of her kind. Though she truly does loves her family dearly, she struggles to live up to her parents' high expectations of her being perfect, making their relationship sort of strained. I wouldn’t say Valerie has a loveless relationship with her family. Her parents do genuinely care about her and their other children. They just tend to put their family name first more often. They have their own vision for Valerie, and she doesn’t get to “spread her bat wings” very often as a result. Valerie felt like she was treated as a commodity by her parents, and was often set up by them with many rich and usually arrogant and pompous vampire her age, potential lovers that fit their standards, not hers. And the fact that Valerie kind of lives in the shadows of her two older siblings, who have already been through this sort of thing, doesn’t make things better for her (something she and Jake can easily bond over).
