Teyonah Parris (/tiˈɒnə/ tee-ON-ə; born September 22, 1987) is an American actress. A graduate of Juilliard School, she began acting in 2010. Her first prominent roles were in the drama series Mad Men (2012–2015) and in the independent film Dear White People (2014). She then appeared in the drama series Empire (2014), Spike Lee's crime comedy Chi-Raq (2015), and the drama film If Beale Street Could Talk(2018). In 2021, Parris starred in the horror film Candyman and began portraying Monica Rambeau in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with the Disney+ series WandaVision. Eiryo Waga is a well-known musician. As a composer and pianist, he has begun a rapid climb to stardom. But he must keep his terrible past a secret... One day someone who knows all about his past, Kenichi Miki, appears before him. In order to protect the fame he has obtained, Waga kills Miki. Immediately after that, Waga runs into Rieko Naruse. He manages to pull himself together and leave the scene. An investigation team is established led by two detectives Eitaro Imanishi and Hiroshi Yoshimura, but they have difficulty making any headway. Meanwhile, by coincidence Waga bumps into Rieko again. Rieko is a stage actress has her own dark past. Soon the two fall in love.
