Misty (Known in japan as カスミ Kasumi) is a character making her debut in Generation I. Misty is the Gym Leader of the Cerulean City Gym and specializes in Water-type Pokémon, and therefore the second in Kanto. She gives the Cascade Badge to trainers that defeat her. Misty also goes by the title The Tomboyish Mermaid.
