Carrie’s overly religious mother. Margaret is a true zealot when it comes to her faith. Even though she loves her daughter and wants to protect her, she can come off as abusive. When Carrie starts exhibiting telekinesis, and goes to the prom against her wishes, Margaret decides the only way to save Carrie from damnation is to kill her.
