Up in space, the Nova Helmet senses Richard’s bravery, bursts out of its safe, and chooses Richard Rider as its new owner, placing itself on Richard’s head just as the Hydra Agent aims to kill him. However, a burst of Nova energy pushes back List and his men and destroys their machine which causes a wave of light to hit Monica by accident. As List regains consciousness he begins to escape with the lead Agent but not before telling the others to destroy Monica and Richard by blowing up the lab. However they begin to fight back with their new powers. Monica is now able to absorb the energy from the Hydra Agents’ old Tesseract Weapons and blast it back at them. Richard is now given powers by the helmet such as shooting concussive blasts from his hands. As the fight continues, Captain Marvel manages to stop the ship from crashing with her super strength and lands it on Avengers Tower’s landing pad.
