Years after Iron Man became one of the world's greatest superheroes, his close friend Carol Danvers has forged a very different path. While Tony Stark remained Earth's guardian, Carol has spent years protecting the galaxy, earning legendary status while growing increasingly disconnected from the home and people she once knew. When Carol investigates a series of attacks on remote colonies, she discovers they are connected to Ove, the son of Amora the Enchantress, whose reality-warping powers threaten the cosmos. Along the way, she meets Brandy Selby, a young woman whose courage and optimism remind Carol of the idealism she has slowly lost. As their journey unfolds, Carol's past is revealed through flashbacks exploring her childhood, Air Force career, transformation into Captain Marvel, complicated history with the Kree, time as Ms. Marvel, and the friendships—especially with Tony Stark—that shaped her into the hero she is today. Their mission becomes even more dangerous when Wolverine, an infamous bounty hunter hired to capture one of Ove's allies, repeatedly crosses Carol's path. Though they begin as rivals, Logan gradually earns Carol's trust, leading to an uneasy alliance. In the end, Carol defeats Ove not through power alone, but by embracing the compassion and resilience that define her. Returning to Earth, she reunites with Tony Stark, finally accepting that even the greatest heroes don't have to stand alone.
