In the 1990's, Carol Danvers is suffering from amnesia and keeps getting flashbacks from a life she once had. Her whole life, she thought she was a Kree soldier of high authority. Once she lands on Earth after a disastrous mission, she is greeted by Nick Fury. She is being hunted down from the Skrulls. After an autopsy of one of the Skrulls, Fury and Carol later find out that the Kree weren't the good saints they said they were. The Kree Commander, Ronan and the Supreme Intelligence initiate an attack on Carol. After the battle, Carol kills Ronan and frees the Skrull refugees. Carol will be a warrior who we can connect with and want to route for during her journey to unravel a space mystery. We can see the time period being a hindrance for them and the early stages of Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain Marvel should open the MCU for cosmic worldbuilding and nostalgia that will connect the MCU further and ask questions that were a mystery.
