Emily Irene VanCamp (/ˌvænˈkæmp/; born May 12, 1986) is a Canadian actress. She first came to prominence for her work with producer Greg Berlanti, who cast her as a series regular on The WB drama Everwood (2002–2006) and the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters (2007–2010). VanCamp gained further recognition by portraying the lead role of Emily Thorne on the ABC series Revenge from 2011 to 2015. From 2018 to 2021, VanCamp starred on the Fox medical drama series The Resident. She also plays Sharon Carter / Agent 13 / Power Broker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), appearing in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016), as well as the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and What If...? A few months after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sharon Carter aka the Power Broker rules the criminal underworld in Madripoor and uses her access too government resources to expand her empire to control the world. When Sam finds out the truth about Sharon, he and Bucky must stop their old friend to save the world. But they need help since Sharon's empire is to strong. Sam and Bucky get help from Isaiah Bradley, the Dora Milaje and Joaquin Torres, who becomes the new Falcon. Bucky tracks down two guys he knew when he fought in World War II and can convince them to join them to stop the Power Broker. In a mid credits scene Valentina Allegra de Fontaine formed the Thunderbolts but instead of taking on the Avengers, they must work with them to defend Earth from multiversal threaths since the whole multiverse is messed up after the Sacred Timeline broke. In a post credts scene, Captain America asks Shang-Chi if he wants to become an Avenger.
