After being thawed from ice and assuming the role of leader of the Avengers, Steve Rogers, known as Captain America, resides in the nation's capital as he endeavors to adapt to contemporary society. An assault on a colleague from S.H.I.E.L.D. thrusts Rogers into a complex web of intrigue that endangers the entire world. Teaming up with the Black Widow and a new ally, the Falcon, Rogers faces the challenge of uncovering a growing conspiracy, but he and his team soon encounter an unforeseen adversary.
