Zombies is Call of Duty's twist on the endless horde mode. All incarnations of Zombies involve a player, or team of players, being dropped into a map and attempting to survive as long as possible against hordes of the undead. All incarnations of Zombies see players attempting to increase their chances of survival by exploring maps and upgrading their weaponry through acquisition and other means. As Zombies has evolved throughout multiple releases, it has seen a variety of new mechanics and game modes, giving each release it's own identity.
