As the National Championships near, her best friend and co-captain Brittany is manipulated by a rival coach, Cassie, into believing that Julia's unchecked ego is a threat to the team's integrity. The conspiracy, fueled by jealousy and personal vendettas, culminates in a dramatic betrayal during a crucial practice, which leads to Julia's professional and social "cancellation."
