The new leader of the Guild, Coates is a man after Kunikida's own heart... or at least he would be, if it wasn't for the fact that he seems only interested in using the Guild as a platform for his own views. While genuinely wanting to change the world for the better, his hubris may make reasoning or working with him a Sisyphean task. His ability, "The World and Me", allows him to create duplicates of himself, allowing him to overwhelm or outnumber most opponents. However, Coates suffers his first real defeat in Yokohama due to not testing the limits of his abilities: he is unable to create more clones than the area can sustain.
