When English solicitor Jonathan Harker travels to the Carpathian Mountains to assist Count Dracula with a London property purchase, he steps into a Gothic nightmare. Trapped in a crumbling castle, Jonathan discovers Dracula is an ancient vampire who feeds on the innocent alongside three predatory vampire women. Leaving Jonathan to a grim fate, Dracula boards the ship Demeter for England, slaughtering the crew before crashing ashore at Whitby. There, the Count targets the sleepwalking Lucy Westenra. Despite the desperate interventions of Dr. John Seward and the eccentric Professor Abraham Van Helsing, who use blood transfusions and garlic, Lucy succumbs to Dracula's curse. She transforms into a feral predator, forcing her fiancé, Arthur Holmwood, and adventurer Quincey Morris to join Van Helsing in staking her heart to grant her peace.Jonathan escapes and reunites with his fiancée, Mina Murray, joining the hunters at Seward's asylum to wage war against the vampire. Recognizing the threat, Dracula manipulates the patient Renfield to gain entry, assaulting Mina and forcing her to drink his blood, which psychically binds her to his will. To strip the Count of his power, the group destroys his hidden boxes of Transylvanian earth scattered across London. Cornered, Dracula flees to his homeland with his final coffin. Using hypnosis to exploit Mina’s psychic connection to the Count, the hunters pursue him across Europe. In a brutal showdown on the frozen plains near Castle Dracula, the group routs the Count's protectors. Jonathan decapitates Dracula while a mortally wounded Quincey stabs him in the heart. Dracula crumbles to dust, permanently breaking the curse on Mina and saving her soul.
