Shaft's Carnival of Killers is a hard-boiled detective novel by Ernest Tidyman, the sixth book in the John Shaft series. In this installment, private investigator John Shaft finds himself in Jamaica, reluctantly embroiled in a plot to assassinate the black Prime Minister. The story, which was developed from an original screenplay outline, involves a variety of shady characters, including dirty cops, beautiful women, and professional killers.
