In this sleek, fast-paced modern romantic comedy, Parker Blanton (Kathryn Newton) is a hyper-organized human resources professional whose perfectly structured Portland life completely unravels when her long-term boyfriend abruptly dumps her. Desperate to shake off her cautious reputation and dive into the unpredictable world of casual dating, she turns to her effortlessly cool, commitment-phobic graphic designer roommate and best friend since college, Ben Olsen (Neels Visser), to act as her wingman. But when the local bar scene proves too chaotic, the platonic duo decides to cross the ultimate boundary and enter into a highly structured, strictly physical "friends-with-benefits" arrangement with a firm rule: no strings attached. As they try to maintain their normal roommate dynamic by day while exploring a electric, hidden connection by night, the boundaries they carefully drew begin to heavily blur. When outside romantic interests and unexpected possessiveness trigger a wave of intense jealousy, Parker and Ben are forced to confront the terrifying reality that their casual experiment has permanently shifted their core dynamic - and that they can never go back to being just friends.
