Aristocrat Larry Talbot returns to his father's ancestral castle when his brother Frank dies in a hunting accident, seeking to tie up all loose ends in his life. He meets a pretty young woman named Gwen Conliffe, and the two go on a date that night. On that night, Gwen's close friend Jenny Williams is seen by Larry being viciously mauled by a large wolf. Though he's able to kill the wolf, Larry receives a bite from the wolf in the process. Unlike Jenny, Larry somehow survives. Later, he's told by a fortune teller named Maleva that the wolf he killed was her son Bela, and that Larry is in terrible danger. It's then Larry remembers he was bitten by Bela, passing the curse onto him. As Larry begins to transform into a werewolf himself, he must find a way to keep the people closest around him safe...all while trying to avoid the full moon.
