Thomas Montgomery Newman (born October 20, 1955) is an American composer best known for his many film scores. In a career that has spanned over four decades, he has scored numerous classics including The Player, The Shawshank Redemption, Cinderella Man, American Beauty, The Green Mile, In the Bedroom, Angels in America, Finding Nemo, WALL-E, the James Bond films Skyfall, Spectre, and the war film 1917. Newman has been nominated for fifteen Academy Awards, tying him with fellow composer Alex North for the most nominations without a win. He has also been nominated for four Golden Globes, and has won two BAFTAs, six Grammys and an Emmy Award. Newman was honored with the Richard Kirk award at the 2000 BMI Film and TV Awards. The award is given annually to a composer who has made significant contributions to film and television music. His achievements have contributed to the Newmans being the most nominated Academy Award extended family, with a collective 92 nominations in various music categories.

Black Widow and Hawkeye: Serpent Society is a 2013 American Superhero film that was directed by Sam Mendes, Produced by Kevin Feige, Written by David S Goyer and Distributed by Marvel Studios. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Hailee Steinfeld, Samuel Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Emily VanCamp, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Adrianne Palicki and Mallory Jansen. The film shows SHIELD hunting down Members of Hydra after they were recently discovered to still be alive but along the way, Parts of Nick Fury's past starts to come while they must also battle the White Widow. Black Widow and Hawkeye: Serpent Society released on 28th September 2013. The film received Positive reviews from critics, praising the film's Storyline, Performances (Particularly Johansson, Renner, Pugh and Bennet), Action scenes and Cinematography but was criticized for its pacing and the absence of Scott Adkins Taskmaster. A sequel was released on October 28th 2021.
