King T’Chaka returned to Wakanda finding that he wasn’t very popular as a king. He also found his two children Shuri and T’Challa had grown to resent T’Chaka. T’Chaka’s own wife Ramonda was scheming against him. She was a member of the Shadow Council which included Namor and King Shark the kings of Atlantis, Doctor Dread and Andreas Von Strucker. T’Chaka had to deal with all of this at once causing him to break down and become driven by vengeance.
