After returning to Wakanda following recent global events, T’Challa assumes the throne, but his reign is immediately tested. While he is hailed as the new king, internal factions in Wakanda challenge his decision to break their isolationist stance and engage with the outside world. The legacy of Killmonger’s beliefs about Wakanda’s role in global affairs continues to weigh heavily on T’Challa, forcing him to question the nation’s future. Externally, the hidden kingdom of Atlantis, led by Namor, views Wakanda's growing influence as a threat. Namor, angered by Wakanda’s expansion and the perceived dangers it poses to his own underwater realm, launches attacks on Wakanda’s coastal areas. T’Challa is forced into a conflict with Namor, balancing his duty as protector of Wakanda with the growing necessity to defend his people from this powerful new enemy. The escalating conflict leads to a climactic battle between Wakanda and Atlantis. T’Challa and Namor face off in a brutal confrontation, but as both leaders realize the devastation their war could cause, they reach a fragile truce. Both nations agree to protect their interests while acknowledging the importance of peace and cooperation moving forward.
