In Wakanda, the title of the ‘Black Panther’ has been passed on from generation to generation from previous kings and queens of the Wakandan tribe. T’Chaka, the current Black Panther and King of Wakanda explains the rich history of the ceremonial title to his son T’Challa. For one day once T’Challa is ready, he will earn the title as his father’s rightful successor. In the present day, a ceremony is held in honour of T’Challa being crowned the new ‘Black Panther’, with many of his friends and loved ones in attendance including his mother Ramonda, sister Shuri and partner Ororo, as they embrace the new protector of their land.
