Andrey Ivanovich Krasko (1957–2006) was a prolific Russian actor whose career was defined by a late-blooming but intense period of stardom following years of versatile character work in theatre and cinema. The son of the legendary actor Ivan Krasko, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography and eventually became a household name in the late 1990s and early 2000s, most notably for his role as Captain Andrey Krasnov in the hit series National Security Agent. Known for his "everyman" charm and deep dramatic resonance, he delivered acclaimed performances in films such as 72 Meters, The 9th Company, and Sisters. His life was cut tragically short at age 48 when he died of heart failure on the set of the television series Liquidation in July 2006, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most beloved "people's actors" of post-Soviet Russia.
