Keanu Charles Reeves (born September 2, 1964) is a Lebanese-born Canadian actor and voice actor. Reeves is known for his roles in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Speed, Point Break, and The Matrix franchise as Neo. He has collaborated with major directors such as Stephen Frears (in the 1988 period drama Dangerous Liaisons); Gus Van Sant (in the 1991 independent film My Own Private Idaho); and Bernardo Bertolucci (in the 1993 film Little Buddha). Referring to his 1991 film releases, The New York Times' critic, Janet Maslin, praised Reeves' versatility, saying that he "displays considerable discipline and range. He moves easily between the buttoned-down demeanor that suits a police procedural story and the loose-jointed manner of his comic roles." A repeated theme in roles he has portrayed is that of saving the world, including the characters of Ted Logan, Buddha, Neo, Johnny Mnemonic, John Constantine and Klaatu.

When college student, Gabby, needs to do a huge project by the end of the semester, she barely knows what to do. She hasn't even come up with what she wanted to do. However, there was one thing she had a passion for: musical theatre and of course movies. So, she gathers up her roommates and comes up with a plan to adapt one of her own plays that she wrote when she was younger called "Beneath the Blue Moon." Finding a cast was going to be hard for her and her friends, so she calls up her older sister, Kathy, to see if she can come up with a casting call for her play. Soon enough, Gabby's got a huge group of people, some adults, some teenagers, and a few kids. Even her ex-boyfriend, Tom, was part of the casting as well. Dealing with all the stress and hard work for her play, Gabby would have to use all of her knowledge and her skills as a playwright to have this project finished and make this play a damn good musical.
