Dr. Victoria Fries was a cryogenics expert in Gotham who was caught in a laboratory mishap while attempting to cure her terminally ill husband, Nore. The accident drastically lowered her body temperature to sub-zero levels, forcing her to wear a cryogenic suit in order to survive. Now referring to herself, Mrs. Freeze, she and the help of crazed Surgeon, Professor Pyg, abducted Vick Vale as the organ donor needed for a deadly experiment meant to revive Nore, who, until his cryogenic chamber was shattered, had been frozen until a cure was found for him otherwise terminal heart disease. Unless Batwoman and Robin can rescue him on time, Vick will lose his life in a deadly illegal heart transplant operation.
