Manuel Palaiologos was a high-ranking Templar and the heir to the Byzantine throne, who attempted to rebuild the Byzantine Empire after Constantinople fell to the Ottomans. He is loosely inspired by the historical figure of the same name and is the secondary antagonist of Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
