An old neighborhood Is being torn down in a bad section where a gang is being paid off to chase out the residents of a thriving apartment building owned by a senior couple. In desperation they plead for help from a higher force. They get strange mechanical flying organisms from another world who come to feed on electricity but in the process they help the residents.
