Fan Casting Little Al in Darren Aronofsky's Batman: Year One

A gigantic, early-middle-aged Black man who owns the garage where Bruce works. A former medic who served in the jungle, he has seen too much of the world's evil. He is Bruce's surrogate father, stitching his wounds, giving him blood transfusions, and eventually handing him the wooden box containing his "inheritance"—his father's signet ring. He is warm, patient, and quietly terrified of what Bruce is becoming.
