The stolen Batmobile tears through the neon-lit streets of Gotham, its passengers being the runaway twins Bryce and Jackie Napier. Their only guide is the flickering, fading hologram of their father, Joker Jack Napier, who urges them away from the criminal legacy they seem destined for. Yet the siblings have discovered a secret with the power to resurrect him permanently. This pursuit has drawn the attention of a disparate collection of Batman’s former enemies and allies, all converging on the twins. Their cross-city flight becomes a race against those who would stop them, and against the ghost of the man they are trying to save.
