. Like Bruce, Lex was also in Metropolis during the battle between Clark and Zod and his parents and brothers ended up dying due to destruction, because of that, Lex will do everything to make the bat and public opinion against the Kriptonian and destroy it at once. At the same time, Clark sees the world's lack of confidence in him and he will try to make up with everyone, allying himself with the government and doing what is right. During the story, Alfred will stand against Bruce's actions, trying to convince him that taking Superman's life is not the right thing to do. Clark will see that people still don't trust him and the government will try to make Superman serve exclusively to the USA, not agreeing Clark will isolate himself in Antarctica to reflect (just like in the original he is Superman again ). Lex kidnaps Martha Kent and sets everything up to look like Batman had done it, meanwhile Lex will also hand over his Kryptonite to Bruce and convince him not to give up on killing the metropolis hero. So, we have the final battle between Batman and Superman, which will end with Martha showing up to prevent Bruce from killing Clark (Superman would have already rescued her up to that point)Martha says that Lex had kidnapped her. upon seeing Superman and his mother together, Bruce remembers Dick and his father-son relationship and realizes that killing Clark will be doing the same thing that the Joker did to him.
