Amy Lou Adams (born August 20, 1974) is an American actress. Known for both her comedic and dramatic roles, she has been featured three times in annual rankings of the world's highest-paid actresses. She has received various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards. She has been nominated for six Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Adams began her career as a dancer in dinner theatre, a pursuit she followed from 1994 to 1998. They made her film debut with a supporting part in the dark comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). She made guest appearances on television and took on roles as the "mean girl" in low-budget feature films. Her first major role was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002), but she was unemployed for a year afterwards. Her breakthrough came when she portrayed a loquacious pregnant woman in the independent comedy-drama Junebug(2005), for which she received her first Academy Award nomination. The movie opens with Clark Kent reading about the Bat of Gotham which leads to him doing a paper on the Bat's lethal brand of justice. Meanwhile Bruce Wayne keeps having the same dream over and over again of a man coming through a portal and telling him Lois Lane is the key. Eventually Bruce and Clark meet at a party hosted by the richest man in Metropolis Lex Luthor who has been trying to find a way to weaponize a mineral he found on a crashed Kryptonian ship from Man of Steel that has the ability to cut Zod so that he can create a being made of the mineral to kill Superman. Eventually after some persuading Lex manages to convince the Batman who is spending some time in Metropolis that Superman is a threat and if he were to become evil he would kill them all. So eventually Batman and Superman fight giving Lex time to create a monster called Doomsday out of the mineral and sends it to kill Superman. During the fight Superman and Batman are interrupted by a woman who was at Lex's party with them named Diana Price aka Wonder Woman. After the fight is over Doomsday shows up. The fight ends with Superman sacrificing himself to kill Doomsday which ends in Superman's death. The movie ends with Bruce travelling to Norway to meet with a man named Arthur Curry.
