Seven years into his crusade, Batman is both myth and menace in Gotham. He’s battle-hardened, respected by allies, feared by enemies, and haunted by the cost of his war—a cost measured in the lives of those he’s taken under his wing. The story opens with the Bat-Family splintered after a tragedy, just as a new, enigmatic villain orchestrates a campaign to break Gotham’s spirit and Batman’s will. This film explores legacy, trauma, and hope in the darkest city of the DC Universe, while laying the groundwork for future crossovers in the new DC Movie Universe. A mysterious figure known as Hush manipulates Gotham’s underworld, pitting old enemies against Batman and exploiting the fractures within the Bat-Family. As Bruce Wayne investigates a string of murders connected to his own past, tensions rise between him and his protégés—particularly after the disappearance of one of their own. The climax forces Batman to rely on his family, trust in their growth, and confront his own mistakes, setting the stage for a more united Bat-Family and a city that finally glimpses real hope.
