Years after the death of Jason Todd and the disappearance of the Dark Knight, Gotham City has descended further into chaos. With crime spiraling out of control, A.R.G.U.S. places the city under quarantine and establishes Protocol 10, a high security prison overseen by the brilliant and enigmatic Hugo Strange. Presented as Gotham’s last hope for survival, the initiative quickly becomes a source of conflict, drawing the anger of the city’s government and its most powerful families. After years of absence, Bruce Wayne returns to a city that has learned to live without its greatest protector. But before he can reclaim his place in Gotham, Batman awakens inside Protocol 10 with no memory of how he got there or why he is being held captive. Surrounded by dangerous criminals and a system that seems to know more about him than he knows about himself, he must uncover the truth behind his imprisonment. His search leads him to an unlikely and deeply unsettling ally, the Joker, the man responsible for taking Jason Todd from him. Forced into an uneasy partnership, the two sworn enemies must navigate a prison where nothing is quite what it seems, while uncovering the secrets behind Strange’s operation and A.R.G.U.S.’s true intentions for Gotham. As fragments of Batman’s forgotten past begin to resurface, the mystery surrounding Jason’s death threatens to reopen wounds Bruce has spent years trying to bury. Every revelation brings him closer to the truth, but also forces him to question how much he really knows about the people he once trusted, the enemy beside him, and the events that led to Gotham’s darkest chapter. Trapped within a system designed to break its prisoners, Batman and the Joker must decide whether their fragile alliance is worth the risk. With Gotham’s future hanging in the balance and the truth buried somewhere within Protocol 10, the unlikely duo may be the city’s only chance of survival.
