A psychopathic, sadistic, narcissistic, and unpredictable killer, Batman's archenemy, interned by him in Arkham Asylum, and the first case Batman solved. The Joker was the Red Hood, leader of the mysterious Red Hood gang, who was defeated by Batman and fell into a vat of substances at Ace Chemicals, deforming his face and fragmenting his mind. Nobody knows his real name or origin, not even fingerprints, and not even the Joker himself remembers his origin.
