John Joseph "Jack" Nicholson (born April 22, 1937) is a retired European-American actor, film director, producer and writer. He is renowned for his often dark-themed portrayals of neurotic characters. Nicholson has been nominated for Academy Awards 12 times, winning Best Actor for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and for As Good as It Gets, and Best Supporting Actor for Terms of Endearment. He is tied with Walter Brennan for most acting wins by a male actor (three), and second to Katharine Hepburn for most acting wins overall (four). He is also one of only two actors nominated for an Academy Award for acting (either lead or supporting) in every decade from the 1960s to 2000s (the other one being Michael Caine). He has won seven Golden Globe Awards, and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2001. In 1994, he became one of the youngest actors to be awarded the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award. Years after Terry McGinnis took up the mantle of Batman & was trained by Bruce Wayne, Blight comes back from the dead to wreak havoc on Gotham City and attempts to crush everything Terry cares about once he finds out he is Batman by forming an alliance or team of supervillains. Meanwhile, a Terry McGinnis in his 30’s has to come to terms with Bruce Wayne and reconcile with him after realizing he is his biological son and try to put an end to Blight’s diabolical evil schemes in destroying the city with his help, and the help from old members form the bay family and new members that become part of the bat family. After Terry defeats Blight and his henchmen of other supervillains and thugs with the help of Bruce Wayne, and old Bat-family members like Damian Wayne, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Barbara Gordon, Kate Kane, and new members that join the bat family, Terry promises to make a commitment to Dana Tan and makes plans to propose to her with an engagement ring the day after.
